Peace is not absence of conflict; it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means

Everyone knows the world isn’t exactly a safe place. There are people at war - facing strife and struggling to live in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Mexico, etc. What do we do now? How do we make our world a place where we all can truly live? It isn’t an easy task - it’s right up there next to impossible. But the least countries can do is consider the conditions of their people and make an effort to improve their citizens’ lives.

The duty of the United Nations Security Council is to give the countries an opportunity to press for the safety and well being of their people, a chance to make the world a better place. It stands with open arms for all those countries that are willing to take a step forward towards achieving peace in the world and ameliorating their relations with their neighbouring countries.

The UNSC welcomes you, delegates, to be reformers for a new world.
